Waiting for the new year to come by
Maybe itll lift me up into its arms
To help fade away past darkness
Or maybe itll pick me up and throw
Me around as something to just
Play with, the 1920s had the Great
Depression and 2020s will just have
People with depression but I’m waiting
For the new year to come and maybe
Throw me a bone, maybe itll help me
Fly like a mechanical drone so I can
Finally soar through sour skies when
Things taste a bit too sweet, I’m waiting
For the year to come by and offer me
A hand into its titration, offering fresh
Breaths in part of over weighed frustration
