The technology now rules us all
And shit if I’m lucky to delete
and reactivate As much as I get up, I fall.
Crawling back to a cracked screen
That cuts my face when I answer calls.
People have begun opening their
Hearts and even the introverts have
Created new shaking in their boots starts and here I am More comfortable to store my
Arts and thoughts like misheard pearl jam
Lyrics make their way into a phone in the
Hands of my body instead of letting
Ink and paper define my hobby;
A travesty!
A travesty, everlasting don’t
You see? Like a hermit crab with
A plastic bottle cap for a home
Doin her thing in the deep sea,
And they aren’t rens if you
Were to ask me but these tiny
Little tuxedo wearing chickadee’s
Makin a new home, right next to me.
The more time that’s passed,
The more that we have planted
And grown our seed in this place
Where the horses still race in
The countryside where invisible
Lines don’t divide their gallant stride;
Yet not even they will hide inside
A cave to try and save their
Mind because horses can’t read
signs but they see words in
Movement, in alignment
and they Feel the humidity
of the air and watch when
The chickadee’s go and know it
Doesn’t matter when they
Continue in the flow
And they know it doesn’t
Matter where and when they go;
Their fucking horses,
Those fucking hoes.
