The washer beeps three times
It repeats every thirty seconds or so
I don’t really count, I just sit and
Finish my cigarette and listen to
The screaming people on the tv,
With breaths flowing in and out-
I await someone’s arrival with
A flick of perfume to the neck
And wrist and my fingertips yearn
The velvet porcelain keys and
I wonder why I had a drink and
To think I said I like alcohol,
Well it cursed bukowski-
They think that was a curse
It cured him
If you ask me
It was his medicine
And I know it isn’t mine
But it’s tough to turn
Down your own
Prescription
When you become the doctor
And as I type it beeps again
And a man on the tv screams
“Alright this ones on you”
“Thats my girl”
How situationally appropriate

Better get the fucking Landry
Before it drives someone
Aka me
Crazy
